What is it?
The Plenum’s Imac 304V Drop cum Volumetric Infusion Pump is a medical device that delivers intravenous fluids and medicine to patients in hospitals, outpatient surgical centers, hospices, nursing homes, and in ambulances. It is used throughout the hospital, including in the emergency room, the I.C.U., labor and delivery, and in pediatric units.
This volumetric infusion pump, with its durable medical grade plastic housing, is one of the few devices on the market which can provide the accuracy at +/- 1 % of the selected drop rate and can be interfaced with computer monitoring systems.
Imac 304V Drop cum Volumetric Infusion Pump feature linear peristaltic operation, ultrasonic occlusion/air sensor, and use inexpensive standard straight tubing, are simple to program and operate, and offer micro rates, which makes them useful for pediatric application as well as adult infusion.
Imac 304V Drop Infusion Pump also offers a number of custom programming features, including keypad lockout.

How it works:
The Drop Sensor uses an infra-red sensor to count drops passing through transmitted light. The Drop Counter provides digital output for each drop that has been counted. Therefore, the "Count" option in the Computed Input feature of device can be used to provide an online summation of the total number of drops within a certain period.
Library is provided for the selection of I.V. set manufacturer and selection facility is provided through menu. Based on the selected I.V. Set from library, with the help of unit conversion feature an arithmetic calculation is available & displayed on LCD & LED display to obtain the total infused volume.
